# IDC data release v21 - May 2025

IDC data release v21 is live!

v21 in numbers:

- Files: 4,5784,454 (+174,244)
- Series: 950,888 (+3,308)
- Studies: 149,577 (+2,070)
- Cases: 71,082 (+1,893)
- Collections: 150 (+1)
- Disk size: 87.49 TB (+1.94 TB)

The main highlight of this release is the update of the [Childhood Cancer Data Initiative Molecular Characterization (CCDI-MCI) collection](https://portal.imaging.datacommons.cancer.gov/explore/filters/?collection_id=CCDI&collection_id=ccdi_mci) (see more details about this collection at the collection page [here](https://zenodo.org/records/14941050)), which now includes 3715 digital pathology slides (up from 1804) for 3582 patients (up from 1733).
