# IDC data release v22 - Sept 2025

v22 data release of IDC brings you 11 new collections and over 5TB of new freely available cancer imaging data! Data release summary is [here](https://learn.canceridc.dev/data/data-release-notes#v22-sept-2025), with the key highlights below.

## Overall summary of v22

> Files: 46,695,167 (+910,713)  
> Series: 965,407 (+14,519)  
> Studies: 159,593 (+10,016)  
> Cases: 79,214 (+8,132)  
> Collections: 161 (+11)  
> Analysis results collections: 17 (no change)  
> Disk size: 93.11 TB (+5.62 TB)

## New collections

- [BoneMarrowWSI-PediatricLeukemia](https://zenodo.org/records/16995570) contributed by Fraunhofer MEVIS offers digital slides of bone marrow aspirate smear for 246 pediatric cases (\<18 years) of leukemia. Images are accompanied by clinical information and laboratory data. Cell-level annotations for a subset of these slides are scheduled to be added in the next data release! - 10 new collections from TCIA, including [CBIS-DDSM](https://doi.org/10.7937/K9/TCIA.2016.7O02S9CY), [QIN-BREAST-02](https://doi.org/10.7937/TCIA.2019.4cfm06rr), and several phantom imaging collections. With this update IDC now includes **all of the public DICOM collections from TCIA!**

## Updated collections

- 501 new digital slide added to the [CCDI-MCI](https://zenodo.org/records/16968001) collection from the [Childhood Cancer Data Initiative](https://www.cancer.gov/research/areas/childhood/childhood-cancer-data-initiative/programs/molecular-characterization)
- images for 411 new patients added to the [Cancer Moonshot Biobank (CMB) collections](https://portal.imaging.datacommons.cancer.gov/explore/filters/?collection_id=CMB&collection_id=cmb_aml&collection_id=cmb_brca&collection_id=cmb_crc&collection_id=cmb_gec&collection_id=cmb_lca&collection_id=cmb_mel&collection_id=cmb_mml&collection_id=cmb_ov&collection_id=cmb_pca)
- new images added to the collections of the [CPTAC](https://portal.imaging.datacommons.cancer.gov/explore/filters/?collection_id=CPTAC&collection_id=cptac_aml&collection_id=cptac_brca&collection_id=cptac_ccrcc&collection_id=cptac_cm&collection_id=cptac_coad&collection_id=cptac_gbm&collection_id=cptac_hnscc&collection_id=cptac_lscc&collection_id=cptac_luad&collection_id=cptac_ov&collection_id=cptac_pda&collection_id=cptac_sar&collection_id=cptac_ucec) and [APOLLO](https://portal.imaging.datacommons.cancer.gov/explore/filters/?collection_id=APOLLO&collection_id=varepop_apollo) programs
