# NIH Strides “Medical Imaging and Machine Learning in Google Cloud”

I have been told that anyone from any hospital or university that received NIH funding (even if the person taking the training does not have an active grant themselves) can take this training.

The NIH STRIDES Initiative and Google have teamed up to create a custom course for NIH staff and NIH-funded researchers: **“Medical Imaging and Machine Learning in Google Cloud”**.

The course introduces Google Cloud’s Medical Imaging Suite and works with real-life data sets from the [National Cancer Institute’s Imaging Data Commons](https://urldefense.us/v3/ __https:/datacommons.cancer.gov/repository/imaging-data-commons__ ;!!JRQnnSFuzw7wjAKq6ti6!3TjOZNnhS_5MsPIC6AbW1BWmZJXCTb4wu9LPGnRp4gaBiWWkbJn2X9ct9YRrlAy-k_iiMQ09MVJUVfeW7bIrparknw$).

The course is offered at **no cost** in June, July, August, and September 2023.

**Basic understanding** of machine learning
